Aunt Rose's Place duplex is located just 6 blocks from down town Monroe MI. We are approximately 11 miles from Enrico Fermi  II Power Plant,  7 miles from Sterling State Park, 1.5 miles from Detroit Edison Coal Power Plant, 45 mile drive to Ann Arbor, 30 miles from Detroit, 45 miles to Windsor Canada, 25 miles from Toledo OH,  and about a 40 Minute drive to Ann Arbor.  

Guests have complimented the quiet and walkable neighborhood, and how close it is to everything.  Groceries   public parks, Library, second hand stores, restaurants, nightlife, musium, art, and so much more are within walking distance.

Starting in June Monroe has free concerts in St. Mary's Park every Thursday. (SMCC gym across Elm Avenue in case of rain)

Aunt Rose provides private high speed fiber WiFi, keyless entry, central air and heating, security camera's outside the house, Smart TV's in each living room and 3 bedrooms. The Whole Duplex give you 2: living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms,  laundry centers, and pull out sofa beds. All the beds in the bedrooms are queens, as is the lower living room pullout couch. The loveseat sofa in the upper apartment is a small full bed. There is a door that is lockable between the upper and lower on the inside, so guests may connect the two halves of the house.

​​We leave enough soaps and paper products to get you started on a short visit, or to get you started on a long visit. Our kitchens are well stocked to allow you to cook or bake like you would at home.  Appliances are also provided such as a blender, hand mixer, microwave, coffee pot, toaster,  crock pot. You will also find basic spices and seasonings, dishcloths, towels, paper towels, napkins, pots, pans, baking sheets, bowls, plates, salad plates, drinking glasses, coffee mugs, forks knifes and spoons, a various assortment of cooking utensils such as potato peelers, tongs, spatulas, cooking spoons and so much more. Under the sink you will also find some common cleaning supplies to get you started. The bedrooms have a queen size bed, closet, dresser, Roku TV, nightstand with a lamp, and a chair. You will find your towels and wash cloths for the bathroom in a basket. ​The living rooms have a pull out sofa with a full bed, the sheets are on the bed and the blankets on the 1ts floor will be in the ottoman, on the second floor we make them in the bed folded, and the pillows for both are on a shelf in the bedroom closet. The living rooms have a  Roku TV with Direct TV, a love seat,  chair, and on the 1st floor TV trays and some books and games under one of the two inn tables on either side of the couch both with lamps. The Nest Thermostat is in the living room to the right of the table and the Fire Extinguisher is wall mounted as well in the living room of the first floor, both are also on the 2nd floor just on the wall just to the stairs.   The bathroom on the first floor has a handicap walk in shower, toilet, sink, blow drier, first aid kit, toilet paper, body wash, shampoo, and some Q-Tips and cotton balls to get you started.  The second floor has a standard shower and tub with all the same amenities. ​​
